BROOKLYN Dog Walking Services
Curated small-group walks, intentionally designed.
HOW IT WORKS
Once we decide to move forward together, we’ll come meet you and your pup. We learn their history, your relationship, where they’re at now, and what kind of future you envision for them.
We don’t assess dogs in theory. We assess them in real life.
We talk about what they should be walking on, whether training is needed, lifestyle changes, and then we create a plan to integrate them into a positive rhythm.
We carefully match dogs by:
- geography
- energy
- temperament
- emotional safety
Your dog should enjoy their company — not just tolerate it.

Why Choose GoDog Walking
Daily Updates
No phoned-in updates. No mugshot “proof-we-were-here” photos. You deserve more — and so does your pet. Too many dog-walking companies settle for canned check-ins that skim over meaningful details, skip the anecdotal, and miss what attentive eyes would notice. We believe you deserve to know what really happens during our time with your pet. So we pay attention — socially, behaviorally, environmentally, physically — and we share those observations with care, not autopilot. Because attentive care deserves attentive reporting.
Group Dynamics
We aim to walk between two and four dogs at a time. We’ve found this to be the harmony point — where safety, individual attention, and natural pack flow all hold together. Larger groups can compromise a dog’s experience, introduce unnecessary risk, and make the walk feel less fluid. We do offer solo walks, but generally reserve them for dogs with physical limitations or behavioral concerns that make group walking unsafe. Isolation for convenience isn’t really our style. Our group walks are where we see dogs really thrive and grow. Strong handler leadership paired with carefully matched canine companions helps build confidence, social skills, and the ability to read the room, so to speak.
Windows & Access
We generally ask for a two-hour walking window, which allows us to prioritize safety, build better group chemistry, and give each dog a more thoughtful experience. Puppies under six months are usually scheduled within a one-hour window to better match their developmental needs.
We also require two sets of keys, and ideally would collect them both at the meet and greet. If you use a lockbox, we will still need a set for the office. If keys need to be retrieved after service has begun, a fee equivalent to the price of a walk applies.
Building access codes can be securely stored in your client profile for ease and reliability.
Weather Sensitive Care
We walk in all weather, but safety and comfort always come first. In sizzling summer conditions, we naturally shorten walks, favor shaded routes, encourage cooling collars or vests, bring ice packs when available, and avoid idling on blacktop. When it’s raining, dogs get wet — that’s part of life — but we’ll dry them off. Just leave out something functional when the forecast calls for it. In colder weather, we keep dogs appropriately bundled, steer around salt like it’s a landmine field, wipe and check paws, limit harsh exposure while still providing movement and enrichment, and spend extra time indoors when needed. The goal is always the same: safe, comfortable dogs who still get the stimulation and fresh air they need.
Gear
We’re particular about walking gear because it directly affects safety, handling, and the overall flow of a group walk.
For manageability, we strongly prefer dogs walk on 4-foot leads. They keep dogs more tractable, reduce tangling, and allow clearer communication in small-group settings. We especially like Marine Dog 4-foot leads and offer them to clients at wholesale ($18).
Not every dog arrives with the most practical setup, and that’s completely normal. We’re always happy to recommend what might work best — whether that’s a different harness, flat collar, prong, transitional lead, or another option suited to your dog’s structure, temperament, and training stage.
We generally remove bulky leash bags or dangling accessories before walks. In group settings they tend to tangle leads and create avoidable safety issues.
